About the instructor:
Priscilla Gutierrez is a passionate producer from the border town of Laredo, TX,  where she was immersed in a rich tapestry of both Mexican and American  media influences from an early age. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a deep-seated commitment to amplifying diverse voices and narratives on screen. Notably, she has contributed her talent to several digital series for Food Network, including the critically acclaimed and Daytime Emmy Nominated "The Juneteenth Menu." Her passion for authentic storytelling is showcased in captivating short films such as "When You Clean A Stranger’s Home," featured on MAX. Her productions serve as powerful vehicles for exploring themes of identity, belonging, and resilience, inviting viewers to engage with stories that challenge and inspire. Currently, she teaches Pre-Production at the Austin Film Society, teaching and mentoring the next generation of storytellers, empowering them to craft narratives that resonate deeply with their chosen audiences.
