SCREENWRITING Workshop by Phillip Balli

Ever wanted to write for the screen? Join us for a crash-course on the fundamentals of screenwriting. The course will cover developing an idea into a script, writing a log line, making treatments, and finally equipping students with the tools to write a script once the class is completed. Participants are asked to bring two to three short film ideas to develop, a personal laptop or a notebook is required as well. Beginners welcomed.

Phillip Balli is a Laredo native writer whose career started at Laredo Morning Times. He's moved on to write for major TV networks, including beloved show FARGO based on the Coen Brothers' award-winning film.
